Well, this is it, my foray into the Blogging World.
This wasn't the easiest thing to do thanks in part to the dominant set of Laziness genes I posses. Starting out with a light hearted one but thought provoking ones to follow.
Comment/Suggestions welcome.

KANKy Stuff

This week sees the release of Karan Johar's magnum opus Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Since some time,There has been a buzz about this being an unconventional film of sorts. Not that this news had me quivering knee downwards in excitement, but filled my mind with a range of possibilities nonetheless.

These deliberations were not without its risk considering my previous experience with a Karan Johar flick. To elaborate, on a bad day in the office, house rather, I allowed the TV remote to slip in the close vicinty of my Mom. Grabbing the opportunity, she started the search for a Saas Bahu serial. This in itself called for panic but my overpowering male instincts didn't allow me to leave the vicinity of the Television set. Now, coming to the crime scene, I mean the channel running this movie called K3G, the movie being over halfway. The next 15 minutes (of watching the movie) made me realise the suicidical tendencies I had within. It was a heart wrenching scene, for my mother that is, for me it was more like Gut wrenching, quite literally as SRK's emotional act appeared to me more like that of a patient at advanced stage of constipation.

Coming back to my speculations of the unconventionalities in a Karan johar movie, things that instantly popped in my mind were:
Probably, in a scene or two, the Heroines may actually be seen wearing something other a Kanjiwaram Saree or designer suit.
There might have been a day in the Shooting schedule when glycerine wasn't used
or drastic of them all, there is actually a marriage cermony that is attended by less than 1000 people.

Well these speculation ended soon when I received a spoiler Email something on these lines :-
"Boy 1 loves Girl 1, Boy 2 loves Girl 2. Parents take decision. Boy 1 marries Girl 2, Boy 2 marries Girl 1. Both couples unhappy. Parents come to know, decision revised, Boy 1 marries Girl 1, Boy 2 marries Girl, Happy ending!
This is story of Kabhi Alvida na Kehna.
Forward this to 5 friends and you will be blessed with a wife like Rani Mukherji.
Forward this to 10 friends and you will be blessed with a wife like Rani and mother in law like Kiron Kher.
Delete without forwarding and you will get a brother in law like Karan Johar" (eeeewww).

Extra marital Affairs, duh ! come on guys can't u see it. I am sure his next "unconventional" plot will be polygamy or anything that gives him the scope of putting atleast 2 Marriage Ceremonies in the first half and another 2 post Interval.

So, my health and safety advice for those keen on catching a Khan limping his way into unchartered territories, better stick to the film released couple of weeks back.
